Kit for a KNX-compatible orientation light/emergency light that is powered entirely via the bus.

Optionally, this can be discreetly integrated into the standard switch range from Gira and JUNG. A central hole is milled into the blanking plate, and a matching diffuser made of high-quality, opal acrylic glass is milled in place, which beautifully diffuses the light.

An RGBW LED is used as the light source, so that a pleasant and clear warm white light, but also any other color can be produced – for example, red, so that you are not woken up by the orientation light at night.

A good 300 mW is available for light generation – that's not much, but thanks to modern, efficient LED technology, it produces about 35 lm, which is perfectly adequate as orientation lighting (the brightness in the photos is only set to 10 % for photography). Everything is powered exclusively via the bus (without any auxiliary power supply!). This makes it well-suited for use as emergency lighting, as it continues to function even during a power outage, as long as the KNX bus still has power – for example, via a... redundant bus power supply.

If required, an optional buzzer can also be installed for additional acoustic output.

In addition, four binary inputs and a relay (max. 10 A at 230 V AC) can be connected directly via an additional board.

A standard flush-mounted box (Ø 68 mm, screw spacing: 60 mm) can also be ordered:
The required installation depth of the button is only approx. 25 mm, so a 40 mm deep box is generally sufficient.
