SKU: AB-OK-DIM-REG-CV-12CH Category:

Kit including accessories for an OpenKNX-compatible 12-way PWM LED power dimmer in a 6 HP control cabinet housing.

There are 12 channels, each with a maximum of 4 A (total max. 24 A), for constant voltage (CV) LEDs (common anode) up to a maximum of 48 V DC. Higher currents can also be achieved depending on the ambient conditions, with additional cooling if necessary. The fuses on the board provide short-circuit protection and trip at 15 A per channel.

In addition, there is the option to order a current-measuring version: This measures the current of each individual channel separately. This not only allows for consumption measurements, but the information can also be used for device and light bulb protection and trigger an emergency shutdown in case of overcurrent.

Switching a power supply relay via an external switching actuator (such as Switching Actuator, 8-way, 6 TE or Switch actuator, 6-way, 6 HP, current measurement) is possible. The input voltage can be measured to delay the dimming of the LEDs until the power supply is activated and sufficient voltage is present (= no flickering).

The optional housing is printed as standard in an environmentally friendly "PLA+" material, consisting largely of biodegradable components (e.g., corn starch). This material is dimensionally stable up to approximately 55°C. For high currents on the LED channels or high ambient temperatures in the control cabinet, it can also be printed in "PC FR" plastic, which remains dimensionally stable up to approximately 110°C and is also flame-retardant according to UL 94-2023 V-0.

Due to the increased copper thickness, a good soldering iron with sufficient power is required for DIY soldering. To ensure optimal conductivity, thermal relief connections were omitted at the relevant solder joints, meaning the corresponding solder pins are connected to the copper surface all the way around. There are also exposed conductor tracks on the back, which can be coated with additional solder if necessary to achieve even lower resistance at high currents.

Please note:
To upload the firmware of all OpenKNX compatible projects offered here in the shop, this programmer needed.

Delivery as a kit:
All OpenKNX compatible projects offered in the shop are delivered as a kit and without software. The user is free to use his own software or the OpenKNX compatible software, which is available via the “Open Source” directories of OpenKNX on GitHub In the latter case, this can be done with the OpenKNX Toolbox easiest.
